With exceptional pre-conference workshops taught by a few of the smartest people we know, some of the very best programming driven by our conference attendees' feedback, hours and hours of networking, and a sunny, beach destination, we are ready to reunite!
If you are unable to travel, we encourage you to join us online. We will offer half-day online workshops, complimentary livestreaming of all the conference programming, as well as special interactive content.
GopherCon's Call for Papers opened at the beginning of April and closed April 25th. We're excited to announce that our program will be entirely live, except for a few slots we are still working on, by Monday, July 12th.
If you are already looking ahead to GopherCon 2022, the CFP will open Monday, January 31 st . Mark your calendars if you missed the opportunity to submit this year!
Pre-Conference Workshop Tickets
Online Pre-Conference Workshops will be available for our virtural attendees on Sunday, December 5th and in-person Pre-Conference Workshops will take place on Monday, December 6th.
Based on attendees’ feedback, half-day workshops will be offered in the morning and afternoon each day (8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.). This format will give community members the opportunity to learn about more than one subject, while also providing our budget-conscious attendees greater access to this day of learning (tickets will be $295 each).
A Pre-Conference Workshop ticket is only valid on Sunday, December 5th or Monday, December 6th and does not include access to the full conference, Monday, December 6th - Wednesday, December 8th. If you wish to attend the full conference, please purchase a General Admission ticket in addition to your Pre-Conference Workshop ticket. Multiple workshops will be offered and posted as they are confirmed.
Which Ticket Should You Choose?
If you are paying your own way to GopherCon, please choose "Self Paid - General Admission".  If your company is paying for your ticket, please choose "Corporate - General Admission". We are trusting our Go community members to choose honestly.
Student and Non-Profit Tickets
If you fall into one of these categories, we offer conference tickets for $595 and workshop tickets for $225. If interested, please email us proof of your status (i.e. student ID card or non-profit business card) and we will send you a promo code. Please be prepared to purchase your ticket(s); each promo link will have a five-day use period, and we will not generate another code if it is not used.
Group Ticket Discount
The more gophers the merrier! We offer a 5% discount for groups of 5 - 9 attendees and a 10% discount for groups of 10+ off the Corporate General Admission tickets. With this said, there are a couple caveats to consider. First, the group discount does not apply to anyone who has already registered. We will not refund a purchased ticket, then issue a promo code. Second, please be prepared to purchase your tickets; each promo link will have a 10-day use period, and we will not generate another code for a group if it is not used. When your group is ready, send us an email prior to registering and we will send you a promo code.
Scholarships
Due to the financial repercussions of the pandemic, we are sorry to report that we will be unable to offer any scholarships to GopherCon 2021. Please join us online.

Need a letter of invitation? No worries, we've got you covered. Simply email your legal name, job title, company name and company address to us, and we'll take care of you.
Health Safety Plan (updated 7.1.21)
The organizers of GopherCon are committed to gathering in a manner that will ensure the safety of our community. As such and if possible, we recommend you are vaccinated if you wish to attend in-person. While we are not requiring proof, we hope our attendees prioritize the community's health and safety as much as we do.
Based on current information, the following is our overall plan for gathering:
Face Coverings: Masks will not be required, but we encourage you to wear one based on your own comfort level.
Vaccinations: We encourage gophers who are up-to-date on the current Coronavirus vaccines to attend. We will not mandate proof, nor will we disallow unvaccinated gophers from attending.
Hotel Safety Measures: While some of the expected measures, such as hand sanitizer availability and well-planned dining experiences will be covered, Marriott International has implemented a variety of protocols and elevated practices in response to the pandemic. Learn more .
Ticket Types and Registration
We offer full refunds on or before Friday, November 5th at 11:59 p.m. PST. No refunds will be offered after this point in time. In the event you need to cancel after November 5th, you may transfer your ticket to someone else. To do so, open your confirmation email and select "Manage Registration Details". Remember that ticket sales support the viability of the conference this year, so we thank you in advance for your understanding.
